About Me

I am a professor of Human-Computer Interaction at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
I study how people use interactive systems, and I design new technologies to help users feel in control of their behavior and experience new technologies in a way that supports their needs. My current projects investigate the use of technology to support users experiencing relatedness and a feeling of belonging over a distance and the role of technology in family life or how wearable technology can be used to predict health-related behaviors for patients suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders.
